Do you want to make the jump to being your own boss, but you still have a job?
I know the feeling. I spent a few years in corporate America and hated it.
But I haven’t needed a job since 2003, and I make 10 times what I was making in the corporate world.
Crazy but true.
Maybe you can relate if you served. I’m a former US Army Captain. I spent about 7 years on active duty. I got out in 2000 and basically answered an ad on how to create more money. I know sounds silly right? But it worked. However I did have to dive head first into corporate America for a bit.
Yep good ole’ corporate America.
Truthfully I tried to avoid the corporate scene completely. My solution – start some silly businesses and distract myself by coaching football at a small college in Texas…for zero pay. Then the financial reality hit and I had to get that JOB! I landed an Operations Supervisor position at Dell Computer in Austin, TX.
People congratulated me.
I felt defeated.
It was like I had given in to “the man”. It took me 30 seconds standing on the floor of one of the most incredible manufacturing facilities in the world to realize that I HAD to get of there. I was slightly panicked but I held onto a slim belief that I could somehow eventually own my own life.
It wasn’t easy because the forces of mediocrity and conformity of just stop chasing those silly dreams and just do your job were coming at me on a daily basis. However I didn’t fold. I stayed strong.
One key was a shift in my mindset and me constantly reinforcing it… This is something that I was working on before I actually even got a corporate job.
That mindset is what this blog post is about for those who really want to make that shift and NEVER require a corporate job again.
Watch this video I think it will help you.
Again, if you got value then feel free to share and I appreciate your time! Now move out, draw fire and kill that employee mindset once and for all.
